Amplify 2 - The Ecology Project
The Concept
The concept of behind “Spacerainia” is about a dying planet that is slowly getting hotter so as the player you have to collect the 4 core gems from different obstacles and running away from the planet before it explodes. The user has to jump, move and teleport without falling into the void of space or else the game would start over. At first the user will have to start looking for the 4 gems that are listed on the score board as collectables. The user has to go through the spinning forest. The trees rotate from their roots and the user has to dodge them so that they do not push them off of the planet to get to the first gem. Then, multiple steps that are made from “cut” shapes move in a path and the player has to jump on them to get the 2nd gem as well as to get to the icey moon that is close to the planet. In the third obstacle, the player will have to slide on the icey planet and bounce off of the bushes on the moon to get to the 3rd gem. Lastly, the user has to get to decide between different portals to get to the final portal that is near the gem. In the end, if the player collects all 4 gems, they win. In the making of this game I used different scanned objects, shapes from cut, textures from filter and many more. I was able to use some the scanned objects and the 3d shapes that I made throughout the course to create the planets, the player and the obstacles. The obstacles also were based on the use of the shapes from cut and c# scripts that allowed me to move objects and the player in the way needed. Finally, texture was applied from filter to create the scenery and the materials of the objects in the game.
